Information - Electrics
Electrical system of the car includes all electrical and electronic equipment. Even if the car is driven by the fuel, a part of the drive energy is converted into electrical energy. This is necessary for lamps, radio and other electrical devices. First of all, you need to charge the battery that starts the vehicle engine. In modern cars there is installed an extensive electronic system that controls the engine and other parts of the car.
In order the electrical system to operate, alternator generates electric current. Thus, the battery is charged and it supplies electricity to different current consumers. If the engine is not running, the battery is not charging. This is the reason it is not recommended to use light or other current users too long if generator is not driven by the engine. Otherwise, the electrical energy of the vehicle may be obtained only from the other car with the help of a battery cable. If the battery is not charging properly, it must be replaced.
The electrical system includes many components of the car that are current consumers. These include headlights, tail light, brake light, fog lights, horn, direction indicators, relay pulse generator, coolant temperature sensor, oil temperature sensor, starter and control unit. When an electrical device fails, it does not mean that it is defective. Sometimes you just need to replace a burnt-out fuse or bulb. It is relatively easy to repair the trouble. An experienced electrician, who has the appropriate tools, can do it very quickly. It is not difficult to replace most of the electrical components.
