Information - Body
Car body is made up of parts mounted on the chassis. The car body creates the look of the car. There are two types of bodies: supporting and not supporting. In the supporting body all the components are interrelated. They are usually made of sheet steel. It is also used aluminum, magnesium and various plastics. In recent years there is a tendency towards more and more light bodies.
Car body also includes the boot lid, fenders, wheel arches, side panels, bumper, door handles, hood, blinkers, outside mirrors, grille and side doors, including protective and decorative strips (moldings).
