The arm bushes are located in the front and rear parts of the car under its bottom. They serve for connection of the suspension arms to each other, as well as to the hub, steering knuckle, car body, subframe and other parts. In order to examine the arm bushes, set the car onto a lifting platform or lift the needed axle with the help of a jack. The algorithm of examining depends on part mounting location. For example, in order to check the bushes of the front wishbones, you need to disconnect the ball joints and estimate reliability of the unit fastening. When rocked vertically, the arm should return to initial position, and the bush itself should remain securely sitting in its housing. Defectiveness of the bushes can also be found during visual inspection. If there are cracks, chips and tears on its surface, its should be replaced.

• delayed response of the car to steering commands;
