Air conditioners are provided in many modern cars. They cool the air inside the car body. It is very comfortably when the temperature is high. The driver has not to drive with the windows opened any more and thus avoids colds. Moreover, air conditioner contributes to safety, because when the temperature is too high, physical activity increases, which then affects the concentration and attention of the driver. Modern air conditioning systems operate on CFC-free coolant and therefore do not harm the environment.
Conditioner compressor condenses the coolant, which in the evaporator transforms into vapor conditions. In addition, condenser provides cooling. Thus, coolant becomes liquid and goes through the evaporator. In the evaporator reservoir water is removed from the coolant. It passes through the expansion valve and finally returns into the evaporator. There is no pressure there and the liquid transforms into gas. This physical process requires evaporation heat. This heat comes from the air in the salon, which is absorbed by the fan, cooled and fed back to the salon.
In the air conditioner condensate can be generated. It is discharged. If there are wet spots under the car, they do not indicate failure or damage. Problems with air conditioner become apparent when it starts to malfunction. If air in the salon is cooled very slowly or is not at all cool, air conditioner is faulty. Air conditioner can be repaired with the help of special tools. So, it is reasonable to apply to service centre. What is more, air conditioner should be regularly disinfected to avoid objectionable odors.
