Is it time to replace the Glow plugs on your SLK R171? These tips will help you!
Faulty Heater plug on a car such as the Mercedes SLK R171 make it difficult to start the engine and impair idling. We recommend checking these parts before the cold season and replacing them at least once every 80.000 km.
If not replaced on time, on Rear-Wheel Drive versions with a displacement of 5.4, 3.0, 3.5, 1.8 litres and output of 163, 400 hp, these components will oxidise. This can make them difficult to remove. If you try to remove oxidised Ignition and preheating, their tips may break off and stay in the engine cylinders.
